Tatou Whānau Ora Navigator

Lise Hope-Suveinakama is a Tokelauan lawyer and an active member of the Auckland
Tokelau Incorporated Society and the Mulihelu Atafu Community. Deeply rooted in her
culture and committed to uplifting her community, she works through the Kaiga
Maopoopo Cultural Conceptual Framework and the Tugaki Ke Olatia Champions of
Change, a Nga Vaka o Kāiga Tapu initiative to foster strong, unified, and resilient
Tokelauan families.
As the Tatou Whānau Ora Navigator for Tokelau Families, Lise aspires to walk
alongside families on their journeys, offering guidance, building trust, supporting their
planning, and connecting them to vital services and opportunities. Her vision is to see
Tokelauan families thrive, culturally connected, confident, and able to navigate both
their traditions and the western world with pride and resilience. Through her work, she
continues to inspire others and embody the collective spirit of care, leadership, and
hope that defines her community.
